THE CBNDF PROJECT

| We are pleased to submit to your
attention the CBNDF Project. CBNDF stands for "CENTRE BIBLIQUE NOTRE-DAME
DE FATIMA" (Biblical Center of Our Lady of Fatima). Inspired by the wish of Pope John Paul II urging religious communities to fight against all forms of poverty in the World, during the Eucharistic year, CBNDF was Rev. Father Jules Campion's direct answer to the call of the Pontiff. Father Campion was born and raised in Haiti. He was ordained priest in 1979. After his Biblical Studies at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the Biblical Pontifical Institute in Rome, he spent more than fifteen years teaching the Holy Scripture at the Major Seminary of Port-au-Prince, Haiti. For ten years, he was appointed by the Vatican and the National Bishop Conference of Haiti as the National Director of the Pontifical Missionary Society (Propagation of the Faith). During seven years, he was Pastor of the Sacred Heart Church in Port-au-Prince, Haiti which became then a famous Shrine of Pilgrimage and Prayer. Now he is the Director of the CBNDF. During the Eucharistic year, Fr Campion has created three chapels in Port-au-Prince, the capital of Haiti,(La Fleur du Cheine #82, Thomassin 25 and Delmas 41, Rue Dougé et Faustin Ier #2) where Eucharistic Adoration is ongoing around the clock. CBNDF is a huge pilgrimage center strategically located atop a mountain overlooking the Atlantic Ocean at Bois-Neuf, Artibonite, Haiti. Bois-Neuf is approximately two hours north of the capital, Port-au-Prince in Haiti. This pilgrimage center will be able to accomodate more than 100.000 pilgrims at once. It will also attract visitors from around the world, thus developing and strengthening the local economy. The total estimjated cost of the CBNDF project is approximately US $ 2.5 Millions. 30% of the project has already been accomplished by CBNDF due to the relentless effort of the Rev. Father Jules Campion and his collaborators. The grant needed for completing the project is in the amount of US $1,103,390.00. The entire country of Haiti is in a state of unprecedented desperation. We are calling upon the generosity of any Organization to assist in the accomplishment of this project that has the potential of regenerating the entire region spiritually and materially.
